Theater is Life, that’s according to volunteer members of Gallery Theater of West Chicago who are on a mission to nurture, grow, and educate and fill a creative niche for residents and visitors on both sides of the curtain. In fact, growing and nurturing local talent for the performing arts, scripting, directing and staging is as important to them as is the resounding applause at the end of a production. Gallery Theater of West Chicago was established as a volunteer organization in the fall of 2009, and leased part of the basement of the 200 Main Street building during its early years.
