U.S. CHAMBER MEETS WITH WORLD LEADERS AT UNGA

The U.S. Chamber is hosting a series of events and meetings during the 80th UN General Assembly (UNGA), including engagements with heads of state, to address key global challenges.

Why it matters: The discussions showcase the U.S. Chamber’s ability to connect businesses with world leaders and the pivotal role of American business in providing solutions.

What we’re doing:

U.S. Chamber President and CEO Suzanne P. Clark hosted President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, where she reiterated the U.S. Chamber’s support for granting Kazakhstan Permanent Normal Trade Relations. She also discussed with Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov efforts to utilize Kazakhstan’s energy resources and critical minerals.

At the U.S. Chamber’s headquarters, Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan joined a discussion on how American companies can facilitate Bhutan’s ongoing socio-economic transformation.

Partnering with the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Chamber hosted a discussion with Health Ministers from Nigeria and Rwanda on U.S. global health policy and how it overlaps with national security and economic interests.

Looking ahead: Meetings with foreign leaders will continue this week during UNGA. Follow us on X and LinkedIn or visit the U.S. Chamber’s website for updates.
