Wego Drama at Community High School is celebrating the annual Theatre In Our Schools Month. To honor the event, Wego Drama will preview their IHSA Shows: a 40-minute play, a five-minute Short Film, and 30-minute Group Interpretation. The evening is an exciting evening of entertainment. Wego Drama’s 2024-2025 Season is the “Love Theatre.” The live shows deal with the love of friends, family, and one’s community. IHSA shows do deal with serious content and therefore intended for teens and adults. The shows are presented together to create a wonderful evening of cutting-edge theatre. The audience gets the benefit of three-shows in one night.
The company of actors and crew for the show includes from Carol Stream: Ava Bloniarz and William Wenberg; from West Chicago: Antwan Angeles, Brianna Carrasco, Tyler Benton, Liliana Bonilla, Charlotte Conger, Wil Cooper, Jordin Crudup, Danais Gomez-Garcia, Hailey Gutierrez, Matthew Krysinski, Ramiah McElroy, Elisa O’Brien, Alejandra Rocha, Oliver Ruiz, Gabriel Valenzuela, Ja’Nyah Villa, Mary Wagner, and Dayan Zenteno; and from Winfield: Bo Dragosh, Caiden McDougall, and Mariah Varnado.
The Wego Drama production is directed by Mark Begovich with Nicole Stadler; Technical Direction is by Christopher Jensen; and Hair and Make-up by Jaime Elsa. The student film is directed by Ava Bloniarz.
Performances are Thursday and Friday, March 13 & 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Tickets are a suggested donation of $10.
