The New Hope United Methodist Church (UMC) invites all members of the community to join us for our Blue Christmas celebration, a heartfelt and inclusive Christmas worship service designed for those who find the holiday season a challenging time due to the absence of a loved one.
This thoughtful service will take place on Saturday December 14th at 4:00pm at New Hope UMC, located at 643 E Washington St, West Chicago, IL, 60185. As the holiday season approaches, we recognize that it can be a particularly difficult period for those who are grieving or dealing with personal hardships. Our Blue Christmas service aims to provide a space for reflection, solace, and hope, offering support to anyone who might be struggling during this festive time.
Rev. Avani Christian, the pastor of New Hope UMC, shares, "Our Blue Christmas service is a reminder that even in the midst of sorrow and loss, there is a community that cares, supports, and walks alongside you. We welcome everyone to come as they are, to find comfort and peace in knowing that they are not alone."
We understand that the holiday season is not always joyous for everyone, and this special service is our way of acknowledging and embracing those feelings. Whether you are dealing with grief, loneliness, or any other form of struggle,
we invite you to join us for an afternoon of healing and connection.
