WESTERN DUPAGE SPECIAL RECREATION ASSOCIATION WELCOMES NEW STAFF

Britt Velasquez, Program Supervisor

With over 15 years of experience working with individuals with special needs, Britt brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the role. Britt’s background includes both recreation and education tracts. Her recreation experience includes creating and implementing a variety of programs, camps, adventure activities, and adaptive adventures. Her education experience includes teaching special education, early education, and early intervention.

Britt’s passion for working with individuals with special needs is deeply personal. Growing up with two siblings who live with disabilities, she was inspired at a young age to dedicate her career to supporting others with similar challenges. She earned her BS in kinesiology with an emphasis in adaptive physical education from Turman State University. Her combination of personal and professional experience makes Britt a valuable addition to the WDSRA team.

As a member of the program team, Britt will be focusing on developing and overseeing cultural arts programs, special events, recreational trips, and more.
