The City’s contractor, Schroeder Asphalt Services, Inc., and its subcontractors are anticipated to begin the second phase of the Town Road Reconstruction and Resurfacing Project during the week of September 14, 2026, weather permitting. The project is anticipated to be completed in November 2026, weather permitting.
Town Road will be one-way northbound only between IL-38 (Roosevelt Road) and Brown Street. Southbound traffic will not be allowed through this section. Motorists should follow posted detour routes and allow additional travel time.
The second phase generally includes the reconstruction, widening, and stormwater improvements along Town Road between IL-38 (Roosevelt Road) and Forest Avenue. The work includes:
| • Roadway widening and reconstruction. • Curb and gutter installation. • Storm sewer, inlet, catch basin, and manhole installation. • Compensatory storage basin improvements. • Ditch and parkway grading. • Erosion control, pavement markings, and parkway restoration. • Other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the project. |
